In the context of the Online INSPIRE Conference 2020, ELISE is organising a workshop titled "Data ecosystems for geospatial data" on the 9th of June 2020 at 14h. The workshop will be investigating how Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDIs) can evolve into data ecosystems to support the goals of digital government in Europe, discussing on relevant actors and their responsibilities, data value chains, emerging data sources and technical/architectural approaches.
The workshop would contribute to the ongoing study addressing “Data ecosystems for geospatial data - Evolution of Spatial Data Infrastructures” , whose goal is to Investigate how SDIs can evolve into data ecosystems to support the goals of digital government in Europe.
The workshop investigates factors such as relevant actors,
It also addresses the interoperability between data ecosystems for different sectors and/or different countries and cross-cutting requirements for geospatial data.
The workshop is organised as an interactive session. 3 to 5 short presentations are planned to illustrate data ecosystems. Participants are then invited to join one of the (3 to 5) thematic groups.
Participants are expected to share and learn from their experiences with data ecosystems: emergence, barriers, opportunities, sustainability, interoperability between ecosystems, etc.
