Welcome to the Digital-ready policymaking (DRPM) community

In line with the Interoperable Europe Act, the Digital-ready policymaking (DRPM) community aims to support the development of policy proposals that are fit for the digital age, focusing on both the policy design process and tools used.

Our objective is to serve as a dynamic knowledge hub for all stakeholders involved in the policymaking process, helping to make policies and legal acts more digital-ready to ensure their smooth implementation. We aim to build and disseminate knowledge, provide tools and guidance, support trusted exchange of information and create a collaborative space for all aspects of digital-ready policymaking.

Check out our video interview with Zsofia Sziranyi to learn more about what DRPM is and why it is important!

Why make digital-ready policies?

Did you know that in Denmark, e-invoicing saves taxpayers €150 million and businesses €50 million each year? If implemented throughout the EU, the yearly savings could be over €50 billion and this is only one example of DRPM benefits. Among cost-savings, designing policies with digital aspects in mind allows for simplified procedures, faster policy implementation, and automated public services. It thus brings benefits to the citizens, businesses, and public administrations. Read more on the DRPM benefits by exploring our infographic.
