The smooth-running of Denmark’s main eGovernment services is much-appreciated by the country’s local administrations, reports Denmark’s Agency for Digitisation (Digitaliseringsstyrelsen - DIGST). A survey shows that “we’re on the right track”, DIGST writes.

DIGST is responsible for several of Denmark’s core eGovernment services, including NemID, the national eID system, Digital Post, which allows citizens to correspond electronically with public authorities, and Borger.dk, Denmark’s eGovernment portal.

The increasing digitisation of society requires the stable and secure running of public IT solutions, the agency writes. Denmark’s public administrations expect DIGST to professionally manage the IT systems and to keep them involved. According to DIGST, the agency’s network partners contribute to the dialogue with public administrations.

“Timely communication on the operation and on changes to the central IT systems is an important part of system administration,” DIGST writes. One of the ways the agency reports on the status of its IT systems, is on a dashboard on the Digitaliser.dk eGovernment portal.

This year, DIGST is planning an overhaul of its dashboard, to provide more information on its systems management.
