PILOT 03
This pilot provides a comprehensive solution to the challenges facing innovation in user-centric public services through the creation of the GovTech AI Sandbox: a structured and supportive environment to foster and scale AI-driven innovations in the public sector. Building on lessons from the Startup Pilot (Pilot 3 of the first SGA), it acts as a continuation with broader scope and impact. Startups and innovative SMEs will provide cutting-edge technologies and engage in procurement processes. Public sector bodies will receive funding and expert support, including grants and guidance on technology implementation, regulatory adjustments, and procedural changes. Over a 2-year programme, solutions will be developed, tested, and refined with tech developers across multiple institutions. Once proven, they will be adapted and scaled with the necessary legal and procedural changes.
