convertET page

If the Eurotrace 3.4.7 or above is installed on the computer, the convertET needs to be run only once to update the existing access domains to the new format. Any new access data file created by Eurotrace will be in the updated mdb format of 2 GB as well as the used temporary tables used by eurotrace in eurotrace Access version and SQL version.

The convertET can also be run also if the version 3.3.28 is in use and the country did not migrate to Eurotrace 3.4.7 (not recommended). In that case,

  • It will be needed to run the convertET tool regularly to update the format of the newly generated database created with Eurotrace 3.3.28
  • The temporary table format used by the Eurotrace 3.3.28 program will not be changed and remain with a limit of 1 GB.

Notes:

  • When opening a domain using the convertET, the list of files to be converted will be preselected , you will only need to run the process to make the needed conversion
  • After the conversion is performed, you will see in your domain directory some files with a ".old" extension, which are copies of the original files before their conversion done for security reasons. If Eurotrace is working well on the converted domain, you can erase this ".old" files.
