Interoperability: An introductory course

This course provides a solid understanding about interoperability, including the need for it, the interoperability environment at high level and the respective initiatives of the European Commission. The course also gives insights on the opportunities that can be leveraged to identify the appropriate interoperability modules for the implementation of the services reusing existing interoperable solutions.
The Interoperable Europe Act: Introduction
Proficiency level: 🕮
This short course will provide an introduction to the Interoperable Europe Act for public servants across Europe, including the background and context, why the Act is needed, how it links with other EU digital policies, legislation and the 2030 Digital Decade targets. The course will also provide insight into what is regulated, who is affected and demonstrate the key features of the Act. It will also highlight the involvement for public sector authorities in terms of planning and monitoring.
Introduction to eGovERA©
Proficiency level: 🕮
This online course introduces eGovERA©, a European Commission solution based on the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) and the European Interoperability Reference Architecture (EIRA©). It supports public administrations in analysing and designing interoperable digital public services through a set of specifications, policy reference architectures, and a diagnostic tool. The course explains how eGovERA© supports the digital public service lifecycle and how it builds on the EIRA© framework.
Interoperability Assessments: Introduction

This course introduces the new interoperability assessments that support stronger interoperability in the public sector, especially for cross-border digital public services. It explains the core concepts and their practical application through a real-world case. It is aimed at professionals, students, and anyone interested in digital government and public sector innovation.
