The Interoperable Europe Academy has launched a new initiative called Peer-Learning Policy Briefs, aimed at fostering the implementation of digital government policy instruments through knowledge exchange between public administrations.
The briefs are intended to provide insights into solutions that address challenges faced by local, regional and national public administrations, thus fostering learning from good practices, experiences, innovative approaches, and capacity building.
Two Policy Briefs are already available:
- “Digital Counter – Revolutionising Public Service Delivery Through Innovation”: it highlights the Digitale Balie, a solution developed in the Netherlands during the COVID-19 pandemic that enabled Dutch municipalities to provide essential services remotely, ensuring continuity and accessibility for citizens.
- “Getting Started with Setting Up a Smart City”: it provides a practical roadmap for local governments in less digitally advanced cities to begin their smart city transformation. It highlights initial steps, key considerations and accessible tools from European Commission initiatives to support service provision, and citizen well-being through digital innovation.
