Prof. dr. ir. Joep Crompvoets is professor ‘Information Management in the Public Sector’ at the KU
Leuven Public Governance Institute (BE). He is Research Manager, Senior Researcher and Consultant in the domains of GIS, Spatial Data Infrastructures, E-governance and Public Sector Innovation. He is also secretary-general of EuroSDR. He fulfilled numerous international projects in these fields of expertise. His research has been supported by UN-GGIM of United Nations Statistics Division, the World Bank, European Commission, BELSPO federal Public Planning Service Science Policy (Belgium), Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), Flemish government, IWT Agency for Innovation by Science and Technology, and several national governments around the world.
