Virtual classroom for the continuity of the educational process (AVAE)

The project AVAE (VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OF EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT) INSIDE THE PROJECT " VIGO DIXITAL " is a project of the Community Initiative " and-Europe 2005 ", that has like principally objective to put in march of a system of follow-up of basic education in the hospitable and domiciliary area that facilitates the continuity of the educational process of the student body in obligatory education, which for optional prescription they could not represent from habitual form to their school center. The project is based on the adjustment of a platform LMS and the development of new modules or tools

A program developed by the Concello of Vigo in collaboration with Xunta of Galicia, and Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism and the European Union across bottoms(funds) FEDER, with a budget of 698.000 Euros

Description of target users and groups

Students of between 6 and 16 years, which on doctor`s order could not represent to classes during long periods of hospitalization, teachers and sanitary personnel. The project attends to the children of the Municipal Area of Vigo, approximately 25000

Description of the way to implement the initiative

The team of work is formed by the persons in charge and technical personnel designated by Fujitsu and by the director of the project and the advisers of the Concello who are estimated in each of the phases of introduction of the platform. The mission of the team of persons in charge is to assure the quality of the project and validar and to accept the contents. The mission of the technical team consists of the development of the different tasks planned in the previous points. Multi-channel issues: Conditions of the formative materials: Interactive materials, in which the user will be able to adopt an active paper(role) in relation to the pace and level of work. Material multimedia, texts, fixed images and animations. Opened materials, which will allow an update accessible Materials, which will use all the potentials of the net and Internet. Materials with resources on-line, Distributed, and - learning allow that the pupils could use resources and didactic merry materials for the world in different servants of Internet.

Main results, benefits and impacts

More than 25000 children will enjoy the service when they are sick Innovation: The novel thing takes root in the approach, since didactic materials elaborate multimedia of basic education. This experience can extend in a future the type of users and attack the illiteracy in remote zones and for groups in risk of excluison
