Explanation

The proposal is to create a vocabulary for spatial representation types:

  • Vector
    • Vector polygon
    • Vector point
    • Vector polyline
    • Vector line
  • Grid
    • Raster image
    • Raster tile

The possibility of using keywords extending the ones in ISO / INSPIRE is a topic that we have not discussed. We tried as much as possible to re-use existing reference vocabularies - in this case, the ones available from the INSPIRE Registry. Actually, [...] work is under-way in the INSPIRE MIG to define a federated registry architecture, enabling, among other things, the development and implementation of extensions to the INSPIRE "vocabularies". So, your proposal might be addressed in that context.
Of course, [...] GeoDCAT-AP doesn't prevent the use of any code list, in addition to the recommended ones (again for interoperability purposes).

This issue can be closed. GeoDCAT-AP does not restrict the use of any code list, in addition to the recommended one.
