What a year it has been! As we wrap up 2025, we’re not just reflecting on our achievements; we’re also celebrating the festive spirit by sharing some gifts with you.
With interoperability assessments becoming mandatory as of January this year, digital-ready policymaking (DRPM) gained impetus to streamline fulfilling the obligation. We strived to provide you with necessary resources that will make DRPM as easy as possible. Below, you can find a recap of what we’ve cooked for you this year.
Events
In the spirit of making wishes come true, we organised several webinars this year. You can still watch the recordings and access presentations of these events.
Remember last January? We kicked off the year with a webinar about the Interoperable Act and its mandatory interoperability assessments, preparing you for the new obligation.
In May, we held a breakout session about legal interoperability and digital-ready policymaking as part of the 2025 Seasonal School.
By June, we presented the European Commission’s approach to complying with the interoperability assessments obligation.
November kept us busy with a webinar about the AI4DRPM prototype and its role in automating interoperability assessments, along with SEMIC 2025 conference, where our colleagues held a workshop on Legal semantics and AI in digital-ready policymaking and led the panel discussion on Future-proof digital Europe: Innovative policymaking driven by digital-ready and service-design strategies.
New resources
In the spirit of giving, we’ve prepared a vast range of resources to satisfy your appetite.
For an appetizer, we served the infographic highlighting why digital-ready policymaking matters and the benefits it brings to public services.
Later, we complemented it with an infographic showing how to make policies digital-ready.
As a first course, we shared a success story about the Digital Transformation Office (DTO) established in Directorate-General for Employment of the European Commission.
For the main dish, we offered the DRPM information package for Member States to raise awareness about DRPM among national administrations.
Lastly, we kept for dessert the issue paper about the DRPM implementation.
Stay hungry for the new year!
As the New Year approaches, remember that the best recipes are those shared. DRPM is in continuous evolution, and 2026 will bring new opportunities, initiatives, and contributions for the community. Join us to stay updated on all the things we will be cooking for you. Also don’t forget to share your own DRPM recipes! We’d love to hear from you – give us feedback, comment, and publish your own resources to foster digital-ready policymaking.
