AI4DRPM

With the adoption of the DRPM framework, preparing Legislative Financial and Digital Statement (LFDS) and Digital Statement (DS)  became mandatory. Policy officers must comb through legal texts to identify relevant digital aspects, map out data flows, and describe IT needs, making the process time-consuming.

To address this challenge, the AI4DRPM (artificial intelligence for digital-ready policymaking) is being tested as a prototype to automate the initial drafting of digital statements. The system scans draft legislation, detects digital requirements, classifies them, and produces a structured draft statement, which policy officers then review and finalise.

The technology behind AI4DRPM combines

hybrid system

This hybrid approach accelerates the process, enhances consistency, and allows human experts to focus on their judgment rather than repetitive tasks.

Currently, the AI4DRPM system is undergoing testing by the Commission. Nevertheless, the code is already publicly available in line with the principle - public money - public code. Developers are invited to experiment with it and further develop according to their own needs. You can also access the AI4DRPM documentation.
