What is the interoperability assessment online tool?

The European Commission has developed a free of charge online tool integrated into the Interoperable Europe Portal to:

  • Perform an interoperability assessment, guiding users through the different steps of the assessment process.
  • Select interoperability solutions to implement binding requirements from an existing Interoperable Europe Portal repository.
  • Generate an interoperability assessment report in a machine and human-readable format.
  • Share the assessment report with the Interoperable Europe Board.
  • Publish the assessment report in the Interoperable Europe Portal.

While the use of this tool is voluntary, it fully complies with the requirements set in the regulation for the assessments

Overall, the use of the tool by public administrations, while voluntary, will facilitate the utilisation of data for monitoring purposes, as well as fulfilment of the obligation to report the assessment results.

You can also consult the user manual to get an idea of how to use this tool or to help you with its use.
