The 10th Samos Summit 2020

The Samos Summit on ICT-enabled Governance offered a unique opportunity to see, interact with and influence cutting-edge Information and Communication Technologies research projects and initiatives. Attended by high caliber experts from research, administrations and enterprises worldwide, the 10th edition of the Samos Summit focused on the newest developments of ICT applications in the area of digital governance, in particular:

  • Future, Innovative European Public Services
  • New models and tools for the open provision of legal data
  • New epistemological approaches for the main elements of Government 3.0
  • New technological evolutions in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain

The 7th Summer School on Open and Collaborative Governance

The 7th International Summer School (13 – 17 July 2020) focused on Technologies and Applications for Government 3.0.

Organized by the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering of University of the Aegean, this summer school provides a unique opportunity for participants to interact with internationally acclaimed scientists and researchers in the domain of ICT-enabled Governance, to develop their skills in the areas of policy modelling, information management, social media in governance and more. 

More specifically, the aim of the opengov2020 Summer School was to enable participants' involvement in Open and Collaborative Governance issues and their accompanied technologies with hands-on workshops and discussions around the most prominent technologies of the domain (such as big and open linked data, blockchain, artificial intelligence and machine learning, crowdsourcing mechanisms, policy modelling and simulation, opinion mining and sentiment extraction and visualization), and offer appropriate additional skills towards shaping a successful researcher, a competitive employee and a well-informed public servant.
