Chairman and Founder of OpenForum Europe
Graham Taylor is a recognised leader in the application of Openness and Interoperability in a Digital world. With over 30 years experience in the ICT market he has operated at the most senior level within industry and with governmental IT (including the European Institutions), having also previously been a Director at ICL where he managed multi million euro global businesses.
He is Chairman and Founder of OpenForum Europe (OFE) which is an independent, not-for-profit, think tank. OFE focuses on providing a think tank for delivering an open, competitive ICT market, and has been a leading voice for Openness, whether this for example be open standards, open source, open data or an open internet. OFE hosts the OpenForum Academy providing a link with academia and a network of 40+ OFA Fellows, representing some of the strongest individual contributors worldwide. OFE also co hosts the network of national Open Source organisations operating across Europe.
OFE is an invited member of the EC Multi Stakeholder Panel for ICT Standardisation and chairs the Rolling Plan working group, has participated in the Cloud SIGs, and has run innovative Round Tables on current topics such as TDM, copyright, cyber security, and data sovereignty and interoperability.
A regular speaker at international conferences on the impact of new technologies and market innovation he has some 30 years of experience in the ICT industry, and previously was a Director at ICL, now part of Fujitsu. During this time he was Managing Director of their global Smartcard business, their Software Business Manager (responsible for a €500 million revenue stream) and headed up The Solution Centre, its services led business for delivering major projects.
