Description:

Definitions for Geographic Names should be compliant with COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) No 1089/2010 (see requirement no 1). These definitions are compliant with those published by the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names (UNGEGN). GeographicalName Definition: "Proper noun applied to a real world entity". Quoting from ISO 19112 "a geographic name is a spatial reference in the form of a label or code that identifies a location" is not sufficient.
