There isn't a kind way to close contextual menu

When you are digitalizing something and you open the contextual menu (with the right click) there is not an easy option to close the menu doing nothing. Only option is click the wheel of the mouse, but this is not know for all users.

Proposal: wouldn't be nice to have the ESC key to close the contextual menu? I think is a common key in other applications for such a task.
