Turkey's Ministry of Interior is responsible for internal security, civil defense, population services like registry of birth, marriage, death ect. In addition to that, city governors and district governors are appointed by the Ministry of Interior. Governors and district governors are the representative of government in region where they work. These governors coordinate and inspect all public administration services. The e-MIA project standardizes and speeds up internal process; efficient eGovernment procedures are easily set up; it is easier to integrate electronic forms and delivery forms; improves the access to information stored in electronic files and saves costs (time, personnel,stationary, archiving).

The Ministry of Interior supervises 81 cities and 850 districts. If each city governorship made such a project it would cost € 13,500,000. The ministry has saved € 12,000,000. - Each city governorship can save with this project up to € 15,000 on postal expenses.
