Description (short summary):Â Â
Telecommunication networks and information systems are an essential factor in economic and social development. Yet as the public communications networks are composed of numerous individual networks, the resulting resilience reflects strengths and weaknesses of implemented approaches to resilience.

This work identifies challenges of resilience and proposes counter-measures to address them. This information might be of interest to network providers who are interested in enhancing resiliency of their infrastructure. Authorities can better understand the approach to resilience followed by industry, the capabilities of network providers and the need for collaboration towards enhancing resilience.
