Description
From: http://joinup.ec.europa.eu/mailman/archives/dcat_application_profile/2015-February/000118.html
The adaptation of the templates to the standard vocabularies is trivial, but the schemes of concepts to represent themes are not: the Spanish standard recommends a specific scheme (22 terms), and the ISA's profile recommends EuroVoc domains. There is another challenge, the Catalonian catalogue uses another specific (third) taxonomy.
So, we need to make three concept schemes interoperable.
Thanks to the RDF mechanisms we can follow many paths to achieve the semantic interoperability but it's not clear which one should be selected. Finally, we defined a map with all the relations among each other (exactTerm, broader/narrowerTerm). In our case, this was easy, because almost all terms are aligned 1-1 to the main Eurovoc domains, with only a few exceptions. Of course, the map or relations (exact, broader, narrower) should be publicly available. the Catalonian catalogue uses another specific (third) taxonomy.
Proposed solution
Maybe develop an example to document an example of this case with the best practice to apply. Maybe the example of alignment of INSPIRE terms with eurovoc is also helpful.

Dear all,
In the project Open Data Support (https://joinup.ec.europa.eu/community/ods/description) more than 10 CKAN's are being mapped to DCAT-AP. On kind of mapping is the mapping of the themes to the Eurovoc top level domains. The mapping can be found at
http://mapping.semic.eu/ under the link http://mapping.semic.eu/public_data/EuroVocmappings_v0.03-1.xlsx
