Customs systems need to exchange electronic data and to communicate with neighbor administrations (across the borders), inter-national agencies (for example EC), other national agencies, traders. etc.
Interoperability of the customs systems is important because:
- it is required by the standards of Customs Blueprints
- it is needed for national integrations like Single Window and IBM
- it is needed for integration with EU systems like EMCS, NCTS, ECS/ICS, AEO, etc. (listed in MASP)
The aim of this project is to find an ECN (External Communication Node) solution for the Customs Administrations of the Balkan countries. Other customs administration (European or not) are welcome to join efforts with us and help us, if they find it interesting.
