Share your tools! In order to facilitate the implementation of DCAT-AP, many implementers have developed tools such as validators, harvesters and exporters of DCAT-AP metadata. We want to create an overview of all tools created for facilitating the implementation of DCAT-AP. About DCAT-AP
The DCAT Application profile for data portals in Europe (DCAT-AP) is a specification based on the Data Catalogue vocabulary (DCAT) for describing public sector datasets in Europe.
Its basic use case is to enable cross-data portal search for data sets and make public sector data better searchable across borders and sectors. This can be achieved by the exchange of descriptions of datasets among data portals.
Many data portals in the EU have implemented DCAT-AP for describing data sets in a common way. Please refer to "Who is using the DCAT-AP?" for an overview of DCAT-AP implementers.
DCAT-AP Implementation Guidelines Working Group
In January 2016, a working group was set up with different DCAT-AP implementers. The implementers explained which problems they encountered when implementing DCAT-AP. After listing all identified issues in the Joinup issue tracker, all identified issues were voted by the working group members and the top 10 issues were further discussed in bilateral meetings with implementers of DCAT-AP.
