The European Commission’s DG DIGIT, in cooperation with the Czech Ministry of Interior and Open Cities, is organising a webinar “Public services open-source governance and collaboration” on 30 March 2023 from 9:45 to 12:45.
In the first part of the webinar, the European Commission will briefly present the role of the open source communities in the future interoperability governance structure (under the Interoperable Europe Act), the first findings of the study on Open Source Programme Offices (OSPOs) that is being conducted by the Open Source Observatory (OSOR), and the cooperation of the EU public services in the recently established informal OSPO network.
Next, two EU Member States will present their public services units with an OSPO-like mission. It will be followed by the presentation on the current development of the Czech OSPO and the goals of the Brno Open Source Declaration by the representative of Open Cities.
All the presentations will constitute a backdrop for the discussion on the future cooperation under the Declaration.
If you are part of the EU public service or academia and would like to take part in the discussion about the governance of open source in the public sector and the collaboration on open source projects, please register by 28 March via this link: https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/PS_open_source_governance_collaboration.
