The 2023 Open source summit Europe of the Linux Foundation will be held in Bilbao, Spain, this September. An umbrella conference of 12 events, the summit will last 3 days and can be accessed virtually.
Among the many subjects covered, we invite you to have a closer look at some panel, directly addressing questions related to open source in public administrations.
First an overview of the work of the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) journey towards open source. Hans Kristian Flaatten, a platform engineer at NAV will tell how the agency slowly adopted an in-house development approach, leading to today's situation. With, over 2000 open GitHub repositories, the NAV has created a new way of interoperating with other national agency. Don't miss this session on 19 September at 16:35.
Another interesting panel will be on OSPOs & Transition Paths for Regulated Environments with Ana Jimenez Santamaria, Linux Foundation; Maurice Hendriks, City of Amsterdam; Nico Rikken, Alliander; Clare Dillon, InnerSourceCommons and Thomas Steenbergen, EPAM. Here you'll learn about ways to facilitate the adoption of OSPOs in various structure with hands-on experience from the public sector.
