The current document is the deliverable for point 2 above, providing guidance to organisations and communities wishing to consider the use of the Dublin Core in their metadata activities inside the geographic information domain. The information it contains tries to be useful for adopting Dublin Core in this domain and for being it compatible with ISO standard IS 19115, “Geographic Information – Metadata”. This document is the result of co-operation between the members of the CEN/ISSS MMI-DC workshop in the period between September 2002 and September 2003.
