As mandated by the Interoperable Europe Act, the current edition of the European Interoperability Framework (EIF 3.0, published in 2017), will be revised to better meet the evolving needs of our interconnected digital landscape. The new version of the European Interoperability Framework, the Next Generation EIF, is under development by DG DIGIT, supported by an informal expert group. It will be submitted to the Interoperable Europe Board for adoption end of 2025/Q1 2026.
To design this new version, your participation and contribution is essential. Through this survey, you can help ensure that the new framework effectively addresses practical needs arising in the implementation and delivery of interoperable digital public services in European Union.

The ISO 27560 is freely available to download. If your national body is not free then find another one that offers it for free like iso.se or even sis.se in Sweden.
An update of 27560 is under way and they will rename the standard to "Information technologies — Structure of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Processing Records". This reflects the new scope to cover all lawful basis including contract and they now indicate all the mandatory fields for each lawful basis.
The standard is moving to a more mature stage after 2 years so it is aiming to move to publish as an IS instead of TS.
It has been used in many places ranging from national systems demonstrator for EHDS to the CRANE-PCP and in many more places so it is getting good traction and is very usable.
Where should new standards/profiles be sent in come to come into consideration.
