What is the CAMSS Incompatibility Scenario?
It is a solution that assesses whether integrating a specification into an existing digital public environment could be incompatible with other specifications. Based on EIRA© (European Interoperability Reference Architecture), it identifies legal, organisational, semantic, and technical areas that may hinder effective interoperability. Thus, the CAMSS Incompatibility Scenario ensures that changes meet standards and regulations before implementing them in a Digital Public environment.
Why would you need the CAMSS Incompatibility Scenario?
You may need to ingrate new specifications – requirements needed for implementing a solution in a digital public environment – to:
-
Implement new Digital Public Services (DPSs).
For example, as a national tax administration, your national fiscal database needs to exchange additional information on e-invoices with cross-border counterparts. To do so, a new standard/specification has been identified.
-
Adapt your existing digital public environment to new interoperability ICT requirements.
For example, as a national health administration, your national database needs to be adapted to new interoperability ICT requirements, which implies the integration of a specification enabling them.
What is the pilot about?
The European Commission is promoting a pilot where volunteers will be assisted in trying out first-hand an assessment with the CAMSS Incompatibility Scenario tool.
We will help you:
- Understand the specification to be integrated in your existing environment.
- Guide you through the assessment of the integration efforts and impacts.
- Support you in answering evaluation questions accordingly.
Who are we looking for?
The pilot is open to EU Member States, Public Administrations, Digital Service Providers who wish to give a further boost to interoperability in their ICT systems.
The availability of an AS-IS Reference Interoperability Environment or RIE (an environment of interconnected and interoperable EU Digital Public Services) in ArchiMate XML format, based on EIRA©, would be desired. Likewise, an initial knowledge of CAMSS and EIRA© would be beneficial.
