The Interoperable Europe Portal offers a variety of interoperability solutions, which include software, services, frameworks, standards etc. These solutions play a key role in supporting interoperability across Europe and now the option for them to be recognised as Interoperable Europe Solutions is available.
What are Interoperable Europe Solutions?
Interoperable Europe Solutions are solutions officially endorsed and recommended by the Interoperable Europe Board, meaning they meet the common criteria agreed during the Board’s second meeting about user-centricity, reusability, security and data privacy, openness and sustainability.
How can your solution become an Interoperable Europe Solution?
If you are a solution owner, you can submit your proposal by filling out a short questionnaire. You will need to provide details about the type of solution you’re proposing and explain how it meets the five criteria defined by the Board:
- User-centricity – the solution should address real user needs, support relevant legislation and comply with accessibility standards.
- Reusability – it should be reusable by other public administrations and build on existing interoperability assets.
- Security and data privacy – it should meet appropriate security standards and comply with data protection regulations.
- Openness – openly licensed, developed transparently, and accessible to the public.
- Sustainability – it should be maintained over time, with proper governance, regular updates, and long-term support structures in place.
Once your proposal is reviewed, the Interoperable Europe Board will decide whether to recommend your solution. If approved, it will receive the Interoperable Europe Solution label on the Portal.
Why propose your Solution?
The Interoperable Europe Solution label on your solution will give it greater visibility, credibility, and increase the chances of it being reused by public administrations across the EU.
Please submit your solution by the end of July 2025 to ensure it is assessed by the Board for this year.
