The Living-in.EU movement appoints new co-chairs to lead its Digital Assembly

New leadership in the Living-in.EU movement’s advisory body

Living-in.EU, an initiative for local and regional leaders aimed at encouraging digital and green transition in Europe, announced the appointment of Ivan Goychev and Lluïsa Moret as new co-chairs to lead its Digital Assembly. Once a year, this political advisory body gathers mayors and other regional and local stakeholders to discuss policy priorities and foster collaboration.

Ivan Goychev, Deputy Mayor for Digitalization, Innovation, and Economic Development of the City of Sofia, Bulgaria, pointed out the importance of data spaces and the development of new solutions to accelerate digital transformation of cities and industries. He claimed citizens engagement as a top priority.  

Lluïsa Moret, President of the Barcelona Provincial Council and Mayor of the City of Sant Boi de Llobregat, Spain, has restated the importance of participatory governance and the necessity to ensure the transition to a human-centred digital society. "We must continue to prioritize transparency, accessibility, and openness of digital solutions to ensure that digital transformation leaves no one behind", she said.

Their leadership, expertise and commitment to digitalisation and sustainable development will be essential in the achievement of the Living-in.EU goals.
