The Open World Forum is a global summit bringing together decision-makers from across the world to discuss the technological, financial and social impact of open technologies. Focusing on FLOSS, it will be dedicated to cross-fertilize initiatives for innovation and economic growth thanks to open technology. The title of the event is: "FLOSS: at the heart of the digital recovery". The event will take place in the Convention Center Eurosite Georges V, in Paris.
The aim of this event is to provide participants with an opportunity to explore innovations and future trends in FLOSS, to build the future of FLOSS for the digital recovery, to share ideas, forecasts and best practice with international experts and entrepreneurs, to meet decision makers, exchange views, and create synergies between FLOSS community managers, business directors, IT managers, system architects, developers, university researchers and investors.
The plenary sessions will explore how open source can contribute to renewed economic growth, as a major driver for competitiveness and innovation as well as a force for social improvement and national sovereignty.
The Forum will also host five major events: the FLOSS Community Summit, the Open CIO Summit, the FLOSS Competence Center Summit, the FLOSS Politics Summit, and the Open Innovation Summit. More information on the program could be found on the event website.
