The Swiss Open Systems User Group /ch/open is organising again this year's edition of the CH Open Source Awards in three categories. These awards will honour the existing commitments to promote Open Source Software in Switzerland.
Enterprises, communities and young talents may apply. Registration is available until 8 August 2011 and applications can be made at www.ossawards.ch.
The CH Open Source Awards categories are:
- Business Case Award: The Business Case Award is aimed at companies or public institutions that have successfully used open source software as part of a computer science project.
- Community Award: The Community Award is aimed at communities, enterprises or public institutions that have developed software and have published it under a recognised Open Source License.
- Youth Award: The Youth Award will be given to people under 25, who have shown talent and commitment through the publication of source codes/texts or other actions.
