# What are IG BvC’s working methods and principles?
Principles provide guidance and guidance for cooperation.
When defining standards, the Stakeholder Group shall apply the following principles:
— Each defined standard is based on the Kubernetes standard (k8s, Vanilla standard in its current version) without manufacturer-specific extensions. — The specific version of Kubernetes will be agreed and continuously adapted to the state of the art. — If the IG agrees to create common infrastructures (e.g. a central solution for scanning container-images), this solution must be available at at least two data centres involved. — Stop – Licensing management (is this a target, if any?) – Stop – Security-by-design? — The following three roles are always considered:
