EUSurvey is the European Commission's tool to create online surveys and forms (i.e. user satisfaction or registration surveys). It is a freely accessible service. But, do you know that EUSurvey is also a free and open source software you can reuse under the European Union Public Licence (EUPL)?
EU CAPTCHA, also released under the EUPL and maintained by the European Commission, is an open-source implementation of CAPTCHA -- short for “Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart” -- and provides a quick security test intended to distinguish humans from machines during online transactions.
Reusing solutions thanks to the EUPL

In January 2023, EU CAPTCHA was integrated into EUSurvey. With new features, such as the audio CAPTCHA, EU CAPTCHA helps EUSurvey stay more secure and further comply with Web Accessibility and Inclusivity standards.
This integration was possible thanks to the licence behind EUSurvey and EU CAPTCHA, the EUPL. As a copyleft free/open-source software license created by the European Commission, this integration is an ideal example of interoperability and reusability in practice, thanks to the flexibility of open source software and open licences.

Hello,
Sharing our experience in the context of the European Citizens' Initiative
We had been looking for such a Captcha solution for quite some years as the previous open source captcha solution that we were using was not supported anymore by the open source developers community.
It was as well out of question to use other popular Captcha solutions from the market not offering all the guarantees in terms of privacy.
We have then move to the EU Captcha solution since its roll-out into production which is offering many advantages for us:
Additionally there are many ways to integrate it in the system. The one we choose is using the Captcha as a service. This removes us the burden of having to migrate every new versions of the Captcha as this is taken care by the service in charge.
Final point about the very responsive support that we got from the Unit in charge and its contractor who gave us access to their Jira to log any tickets for support.
Feel free to test this captcha on our Acceptance Server here https://eci.ec.europa.eu/ACC3/public (we configured the captcha to use the alphanumeric with 4 characters and the audio)
Do not hesitate to contact us DIGIT-ECI [at] ec [dot] europa [dot] eu in case of further questions on its usage.
Joint Research Centre (JRC) uses EU CAPTCHA for the COVID-19 In Vitro Diagnostic Devices and Test Methods Database.
The European Commission has responded to 21 million of EU Captcha requests since the beginning of 2023. If you are a European Union institution, body or agency, you can request to use the service by sending an e-mail to "EC-CENTRAL-HELPDESK@ec.europa.eu".
