Co-creation workshops on the monitoring of the Interoperable Europe Act

Findings towards an impactful and user-driven monitoring of interoperability

Published on: 27/09/2024 Last update: 19/11/2024 Document

A series of co-creation workshops in 2023 between the European Commission and Member States have been pivotal in shaping the monitoring scheme under the Interoperable Europe Act, now in force as of April 2024.

These workshops identified key user needs, explored the potential for automating data collection and proposed initial indicators for Article 20. By leveraging national resources and focusing on both supply and demand perspectives, the sessions offered crucial insights into the governance framework, ensuring the monitoring system aligns with user expectations.

This work underscores the policy’s commitment to open collaboration and Better Regulation, marking a significant step toward more effective and digitally ready policymaking in the EU. It serves as a reference for synthesising findings and the basis for proposing a knowledge-base approach as part of the proposal for the monitoring scheme to be considered by the Interoperable Europe Board.
