Develop a course with us
There are two possible approaches to create a course:
a) The Service Partner creates the course with the guidance of the Interoperable Europe Academy team, who publishes the course
b) The Interoperable Europe Academy team creates the course based on the Service Partner input and material
The approach must be agreed to by the Interoperable Europe Academy after conclusion of stage 00. Before you start.
- Consider your projects/ request’s technical information and goals
- Verify the course creation checklist (template here) to ensure the requirements for the Interoperable Academy are met by your courses
- If criteria is met: Request a meeting with the IOPEU Academy (with the filled in checklist attached) in order to prepare the timetable and needs for the next course creation phases. If you’re able, try to conclude phase 01 to prepare for this meeting
- If criteria are not met: Look for other ways to communicate your needs via a different channel
- Fill out the Essential Course Information
- Identify key concepts
- Define and/or create technical support materials and identify key contacts for support
- Share with the IOPEU Academy all support materials and specify the course structure including the number of modules
- Together with the IOPEU Academy outline the flow of content by identifying the order in which the course’s information is presented (e.g. theory a, exercises, theory b, case study, assessments) and choose the type of activities and quiz to be completed
- Together with the IOPEU Academy fill out the Storyboard template, including basic visual contents, if there is a need for characters and/or voice-over (The final content will only be closed in the next phase), detailing course content including titles, graphics and relevant messages
- In co-creation with the IOPEU Academy define the type of animations used during the course
- If applicable, define the character’s main characteristics and how should the voice tone and accents be
- The IOPEU Academy will create a presentation with all the complex visual elements defined previously and, if needed update the Storyboard
- The IOPEU Academy will produce initial versions of all course modules based on the Storyboard structure and mock-up designs, ensuring interactive elements, quizzes, and multimedia components function correctly and enhance the learning experience and set up the Interoperable Europe Academy course certificate
- Verify that the content is accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with the defined learning objectives and scope
- Share the beta course with internal stakeholders and team members involved in course development for review
- Together with the IOPEU Academy:
- Verify the accuracy, relevance, and completeness of all course content and flow
- Test interactive elements, quizzes, multimedia components for functionality, navigation, responsiveness, and overall user experience
- Set a course launch date
- Define course communication strategy and timelines
- The IOPEU Academy will upload finalised content to the EU Academy and Joinup platforms
