Report and Learning Kit for startups from GovTech Connect Boot camps!
As part of a two-year journey across Europe, the GovTech Connect Boot Camps have brought together startups, public sector stakeholders, and policy experts to drive innovation in digital public services and sustainability. As a result of this journey, a report and a learning kit have just been published on the GovTech Connect Collection. The report captures the insights and strategic lessons derived from four regional Boot Camps, held between 2023 and 2024 across Northern, Southern, Western, and Central & Eastern Europe. The learning kit translates the core takeaways from the Boot Camp training into actionable guidance.

New Report - Spin-offs: Driving innovation across the EU-27
In this report funded by the European Commission, it is explored the role of university spin-offs in fostering innovation and economic growth across the EU-27. It highlights their potential to commercialize research, create high-skilled jobs, and build regional innovation ecosystems and illustrates how EU-27 universities are increasingly embracing their 'third mission', driving economic impact through tech transfer. The report features an overview of the opportunities presented by DeepTech and provides recommendations for streamlined spin-off creation.

European Commission's Defence Readiness Omnibus
The European Commission has adopted the Defence Readiness Omnibus, a comprehensive package aimed at establishing a defence-readiness mindset across the European Union. This initiative lays the groundwork for facilitating up to EUR 800 billion in defence investments over the next four years, enabling Member States and industry to respond swiftly and effectively to growing threats. The legislative proposals will now be submitted to the European Parliament and the Council for examination under the ordinary legislative procedure.
