Aim of eSignature is to certify the authenticity of the data creator and of the data itself, attributing the data to the signatory, prevent the denial of authorship by the signatory and the manipulation of the data. eIdentity can be an important enabling factor to facilitate the access to public services, Together, eIdentity and eSignature form an essential building block of a digital Europe, also in a perspective of interoperability among public administrations even belonging to different Member States.
