EduSIG is a customization of the Geographic Information System (GIS) gvSIG applies to the teaching of geography, thematic maps, games and the typical tools of GIS. gvSIG is a Geographic Information System (GIS), that is, a desktop application designed for capturing, storing, handling, analyzing and deploying any kind of referenced geographic information in order to solve management and planning complex problems. EduSIG is a gvSIG Desktop tool specifically designed for the use of educational settings, both in geography and other related territory thematic. It is a Geographic Information System (GIS) adding educational games and thematic maps of various kinds (administrative divisions, natural resources, etc.). EduSIG is a prototype, with two versions sampling data from two Spanish regions (Valencia, Isla de La Palma).
