The LeX Summer School aims at providing knowledge on the most significant ICT standards emerging for legislation, judiciary, parliamentary and administrative documents. It aims to provide an understanding of their impact in the different phases of the legislative and administrative process, awareness of the tools based on legal XML standards (Akoma Ntoso, LegalRuleML) and their constellations (Ontology, UNDO), as well as the ability to participate in the preparation and use of standard-compliant documents throughout law-making process.

This year’s edition takes place on September 7th-12th, 2020. It is organized in three courses around the benefits and the possibilities provided by the correct usage of the Semantic Web technologies like XML standards, ontologies, natural language techniques applied to the legal text, legal knowledge modelling and reasoning.

This cours seems an excellent opportunity to get more insights around the available capabilities to use and manage shared or interoperable standards for legislative documents that enable access, communication and integration of legislation through IT technologies, in an open and cooperative framework.
