Installation and instructions

This version is compatible with the Eurotrace editor 2.1.15  and Comext Standalone 9.1.8 (or earlier)

Installation procedure:

  • Download the Eurotrace DBMS 3.4.7.exe 
  • You do not need to uninstall DBMS 3.3.28 to install the DBMS 3.4.7
  • To install the program simply double click on Eurotrace_dbms_3_4_7.exe and follow the installation wizard (you will possibly need to deactivate your anti-virus). You can choose an alternative installation directory to c:\eurotrace if you want.

It is strongly recommended to use the default directory proposed during the installation (c:\eurotrace)

 

Software requirements

  • Processor: 1Ghz
  • RAM:  1GB  (access ) 
  • Disk space: 2 GB (Access)  excluding space needed for databases
  • Microsoft Office 2003 (Excel needed , Access being useful to explore the content of the database)
  • Windows XP
  • Processor: 2 Ghz or more
  • RAM: 
    • >  2 GB  for Access
    • >  2 GB sqlserver express edition installed on the same PC as Eurotrace
    • > 4 GB for all other editions: At least 4 GB and should be increased as database size increases to ensure optimal performance. (recommended 16 GB)
  • Disk space: excluding space needed for databases
    • minimum 2 GB for Access
    • minimum 10 GB free for SQL server 
  • Any version of office (Excel needed , Access being useful to explore the content of the database)
  • Any SQL Server (Express, Standard or Enterprise Editions) - tested from SQL server 2005 up to SQL server 2022
  • Any Windows version
