Why is basic knowledge in artificial intelligence needed? AI has already begun to fundamentally change society and it looks like this development accelerates. Expectations from citizens together with new efficiency needs drive change. Leadership skills are the key to success.

AI for leaders in the public sector is an education developed by the Swedish Association of Municipalities and Regions (SKR) in collaboration with AI Sweden and Governo.

The purpose is to increase knowledge within AI in the public sector to be able to cope with some of the major challenges we face when it comes to, for example, the demographic challenge, declining knowledge outcomes in school, etc.

The training also aims to effectively educate the participants in how to be effective and inspiring in bringing Sweden closer to the goal of becoming the best in the world using the opportunities with artificial intelligence.

After completing the training, participants should be better equipped to meet the challenges of society, and:

• Have greater insight into the requirements for organization, competence and the data access that enable the use of AI.
• Have a greater understanding of what needs AI can contribute to and meet.
• Have increased knowledge to be able to make the necessary decisions.
