Stakeholder Community Once-Only Principle for Citizens – SCOOP4C

Strategy Consultant at ]init[ Project description Citizens often have to spend a lot of time dealing with simple administrative tasks, such as updating their personal data after getting married even if this data is already stored within a public administration’s database. How can we overcome these problems and reduce the administrative burden for citizens? The once-only principle aims to ensure that citizens and companies only have to provide certain standard information to public administrations once. Public authorities can then share and re-use this data even across borders always in consideration of data protection regulations. The EU research project SCOOP4C has the goal to investigate, discuss, and disseminate how once-only could be implemented for citizens between European members states. Therefore the project has different outcomes: It has created a vivid stakeholder community, where experts can discuss and share experiences on different once-only implementations or share their concerns. It has also identified best practices of once-only and analyses the challenges, needs and benefits of these cases. Furthermore, SCOOP4C and its stakeholder community will draw conclusions from comparing these best practices and will develop a tangible roadmap of future areas of actions to implement, diffuse and sustain concepts and implementations of once-only solutions for citizens. |
