Registration for SEMIC 2025 is officially open! 

Centred around the theme of “Interoperability for impact”, the 2025 conference on semantic interoperability and digital government will take place in Copenhagen on 25-26 November.

Organised by the European Commission and the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, SEMIC 2025 spans two action-packed days. The conference will begin on 25 November with intensive workshops designed to offer a deep dive into technical topics and real‑world case studies.

On 26 November, the main conference shifts focus to strategic, high‑level discussions covering semantics, interoperability, AI and digital public administration among other hot topics. This day also features a dedicated exhibition showcasing success stories and live demonstrations, as well as prime networking opportunities.  

Attendance on both days is possible with registration; however, places are limited, and early registration is recommended.

SEMIC’s main conference on 26 November will have a strategic focus on the transformative impact of semantics and interoperability on citizens, businesses, and public administrations, in line with the goals of the EU Digital Decade 2030. 

Among other highlights, the conference will present exchanges on the effects of cross-border interoperability on a more sovereign, simpler and more competitive digital Europe.  

SEMIC is also widely known for its  workshops, taking place one day before the main conference. During that day, professionals from all sectors come together to passionately dive into important technical sessions on semantic interoperability that will shape the digital Europe of tomorrow. 

Topics to be discussed this year include Data Spaces, the interplay between AI and semantics, and the importance of semantics in digital-ready policymaking.

The previous edition of the SEMIC conference welcomed nearly 500 in-person visitors and 1,200 unique online participants. The pre-conference workshops were attended by more than 220 persons on-site and at least 460 unique online participants.
