File extensions on ToC

Anonymous (not verified)
Published on: 02/12/2010 Discussion Archived

Layer names on the ToC are shown with the filename including the file extensions (.shp, .tif, etc.). That info should be not important when you are working with the data and it can even be a bit annoying. Overmore, some funtionalities such Sextante-Calculator has problems to operate with layer names with "." characters. The patch attached change that behaviour. By default, the file-extension will not be shown in the ToC. but users can set the old behaviour on the View Preference Configuration Page.
