I was lead developer for EPrints (eprints.org) which is used by hundreds of institutions for research papers and can also be used for datasets. EPrints should have a metadata export format which is compatible with this application profile (for records containing datasets).

This won't be very hard but will help EPrints be a useful tool for research dataset archiving and sharing.
