Consultant and dcat-ap.de editor for the GovData.de project at ]init[ AG 

Sebastian Sklarß works as senior consultant at the private company ]init[. Being based in Berlin he has been working in digitalisation, standardisation and open data projects for the last 10 years.

In the last 3 years Sebastian supported the German national open data portal (govdata.de) and today is the editor of the "dcat-ap.de" specification, a German extension of ISA DCAT-AP for the exchange of public administration open data in Germany.

Before, Sebastian worked based in Brussels supporting amongst others DG EMPL in the European Exchange of Social Security Information data exchange project and the European Patent Office on "Open Patent Data" in Vienna. Sebastians interest in Semantic Interoperability started working with ]init[ for DIGIT IDABC programme 2008-2012 at the time of the "Semantic Interoperability Centre Europe".

 

Sebastian has lived and worked in Italy, France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany and holds a German and a French Diploma in computer science.
