Contribute to the survey on digital technology uptake by the public sector
Representatives of public bodies and public service providers in various sectors (e.g., public administrations, health, transport, etc.) are invited to share their insights via a recently launched survey on the adoption of advanced digital technologies by the public sector.
The deadline for submissions is 23 May 2025. Your insights will help shaping the EU’s future investment strategy in the digital transformation of the public sector.
Background
The survey is part of two closely aligned studies by DG CNECT, in preparation of the next Multiannual Financial Framework (2028-2034): one on the research, development and innovation of strategic digital technologies beyond 2027 and another on the deployment (integration, application and roll-out) of digital technologies and infrastructures, and the related skills development.
Objective and scope
The aim of the survey is to understand how advanced digital technologies are being adopted by the public sector in the EU. This survey aims to reveal the full range of opportunities, challenges, and needs from the public sector that will inform future EU strategies on research & innovation and deployment of those technologies.
The survey covers a broad range of digital technological areas, ranging from semiconductors and photonics to artificial intelligence, data, high performance computing, technologies for interoperability and many others. It seeks to identify how public stakeholders can best contribute to strengthen Europe’s digital landscape.
Targeted respondents
Representatives of public bodies and public service providers from EU-27 Member States that are adopting, or planning to adopt, advanced digital technologies.
