High-level description: Explore the factors influencing AI adoption in the public sector through a detailed survey of approximately 500 public managers across seven EU countries. The session will include a panel discussion with experts and an audience Q&A, offering a comprehensive view of how AI is perceived and implemented by public managers. Prof. Stephan Grimmelikhuijsen from Utrecht University will discuss how policies, regulations, and personal attitudes toward AI in society shape managers' perceptions and adoption of AI.
Joining the panel will be Dr. Martiene Branderhorst, General Director at the municipality of The Hague and an academic fellow at the Department of Governance and Organisational Science at Utrecht University; Johannes Boermann, Head of Sector for digital public administration & governance, DG REFORM B.2; and Prof. Greta Nasi from Bocconi University.
