
On September 27, 2024, the Interoperable Europe Portal Team hosted the second User Group Meeting of the year. Held virtually, the meeting sought to highlight recent advancements, examine its content, discuss future directions, and encourage engagement among participants.

Throughout the session, the Interoperable Europe Portal Team presented several significant updates on the Interoperable Europe Act and how the platform is evolving, in light of the Act. Additionally, the introduction of the new Forum feature, designed to foster engagement through trending discussions and active conversations. They also showcased the newly launched Layout Editor, which streamlines content creation and the ability to clone content for efficient page design. Furthermore, participants were informed about upcoming enhancements such as Targeted Announcements and the Direct Contact feature, aimed at improving user interaction within the portal. In addition, three distinguished guest speakers were invited to share valuable insights into their projects, enriching the discussion around interoperability and project management methodologies.



Svetla Semerdzhieva leads the Methodologies Office at DIGIT A.2, focusing on the PM² Project Management Methodology developed by the European Commission. PM² is a flexible, easy-to-implement approach endorsed by many EU institutions, helping managers effectively deliver projects.
Juan Carlos Segura Fernández-Carnicero is a key expert on the European Interoperability Reference Architecture (EIRA©), a framework designed to help structure and implement interoperable digital public services.
Georges Lobo, a Programme Manager at DIGIT, oversees the SEMIC Support Centre, which serves as a collaborative hub, where a community of adopters shares tools, standards, and best practices to foster data sharing and reuse.
Bernard Claes, the Business Manager of the Interoperable Europe Portal at the European Commission's DIGIT B2, wrapped up the presentation by previewing upcoming features related to content creation and Interoperable Europe Portal's alignment with the Interoperable Europe Act. The meeting also included an interactive session where participants shared their feedback on the newly introduced features and suggested topics for future User Group Meetings.
