Dear Community,
The European Commission's Open Source Observatory (OSOR) invites you to take part in this short survey (less than 10 minutes) by December 12th, whether you're a civil servant, developer or open source software vendor, we want to hear from you!
The purpose of the survey is to gather insights into the current training needs and expectations regarding the open source skills that EU civil servants should acquire or master.
Your responses will provide valuable input for an upcoming online workshop on Thursday, 12 December 2024 (Registration link). During the workshop, we will allocate time to identify and discuss the needs and preferences for designing a 3-module training course on open source software (OSS) for civil servants.
The course will be tailored to three levels of expertise: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. It will focus on the key concepts of open source development, equipping civil servants with the necessary skills to manage open source projects, and sharing best practices in open source governance across the public sector.
Your feedback will not only contribute to the discussions during the workshop but also will influence the creation of the training modules that will be made available for free on the EU Academy platform.
